We envision a democracy where every person has the desire, the right the knowledge and the confidence to participate.

Our Values
League of Women Voters of Adams County, Colorado is part of a unique national network--nonpartisan, grassroots, multi-issue---that is a recognized force in the shaping of public policy. The League promotes political responsibility through informed and active participation of citizens in local, state and national government.

Our Work

We study issues that we have identified as important.
We inform our members, our legislators and the general public about the results of our research.
We sponsor candidate debates and public forums about vital issues.
We provide information on how to register to vote and important election dates; we provide unbiased information about ballot issues.
We monitor the workings of legislative bodies and commissions.
We lobby for the passage of laws we support and for the defeat of those we oppose, based on our member's study and consensus.
We make invaluable professional and personal contacts among the people who make things happen in our community.
We sharpen our skills in communications, writing, public speaking, and leadership.
We cooperate with other organizations that are working toward our action goals.
